Hello Peeps,

First post on here so hope I'm in the right place!

I'm looking for a spreadsheet formula for my automated PLOG template that will calculate TAS from RAS for any given OAT at say 2000 ft and 5000 ft altitudes.

I think in around April 2003 Flyer Magazine published a very useful set of formulae for calculating HDG, GS, wind drift, etc, which I have been using to great effect for flight planning, backed-up of course with the old whizz-wheel.

I now want to complete my very comprehensive spreadsheet with a method of calculating TAS at the various cruise altitudes.

Does anyone know how to do it in MS Excel?

Thanks for a great forum & mag.
