In view of the discussions re GAR etc, I recently flew down to Alderney, then across to Guernsey and home from there.
I used sGAR on-line for the UK end and I used the downloaded word form from here for the Guernsey end. That was a bit fiddly because I had to edit the word document on iPad and then email to the addresses, for arrival at Alderney and departure from Guernsey.
I used handling at ASG in Guernsey and that's quite pricey, I am counted as based both in Alderney and Gloucester so I paid £25 for handling otherwise it would have been £50 I believe. I have an account for landing fees so don't yet know what that cost.
The better news is that I loaded 171 litres at £1.11 with AOPA discount.
Flight plans were filed via Skydemon in all cases and VFR, I would have used Autorouter if I was going IFR.
In the event there was a bit of IMC both ways and it was cold enough to pick up a little ice on the way back.
All pretty simple and straightforward for anyone with IR(R) though.
