For years Dahlemer Binz, a small airfield has been a bit of an enigma for me.
Subject of a couple of write ups in magazines and ISTR Keef mentioned it. So today, to use up the last of my summer holiday day, I took to the skies and flew to Dahlemer Binz EDKV.
The surroundings are very pretty and the airfield is pleasant enough, but other than a drink there was nowt to be had.
The erstwhile restaurant has been closed since last year and a new to open venue wasn't quite ready yet.
The 20kts headwind made it a bit more of a journey than it should have been and the 90 degrees crosswind over the tall trees to the left and under the approach made for a sporty, but uneventful landing.
All in all a nice afternoon out.
