Had the car heater blower selector go tech. Only worked on full whack demist. Called my local dealer. They quoted me for diagnostic check and if it was what they thought it was, parts and labour added brought the total to £225. 
Did a bit of online research. Common fault. Ordered offending thermal resistor from Ebay for £10. Watched youtube for guidance and a half hour this morning had the job done.
Garage quoted £40 just for the part, and wanted the car for two days.
