The Garmin sims (both Windows and iPad based) for the GTN650xi include SAR search pattern options that can be loaded into a flight plan, over and above the usual 'hold over' function.
I don't see this feature on my 650xi.
I'm wondering whether it's just a config setting that needs enabling, or there's a deeper technical reason why it's not available. The relevant button is not shown on the appropriate page at all, rather than being shown and greyed out.
Anyone see it (or not)?
