UK PPL (A) holder with PMD: can I fly my PA28 to France if I get a LAPL medical

Hi everyone, I have a simple question for a specific license/medical combination which so far I've never been able to find the answer to. Can anyone help please? I have a UK issued PPL (A), attained in 2017, and fly a PA28 on a PMD. If I got an LAPL medical through my GP, would that allow me to use my PPL to fly my PA28 to France? Thanks!
