For help, advice and discussion about stuff not related to aviation. Play nice: no religion, no politics and no axe grinding please.
Two parter here Folks !

Friends I have known for 30 years have moved to the UK from Florida, He is Brit, she is US but married to him with full visas etc etc.

Part 1

He is a FAA CPL/IR fixed and rotary pilot. Skyvan, Caravan, Citation XLS, Hughes 500

He is 62 and looking to see what options there are for either occasional N reg work or safety pilot work, or convert his licence maybe to EASA from FAA.

Suggestions please

Part 2

She is early 40's and qualified to Masters level in science teaching at junior level, some special needs, health teaching and experience in ophthalmology nursing.

She is getting widely varying information about how to claim her qualifications in either the UK or Scotland, there seems to be massive differences and even though she is married to a Brit with appropriate rights to work, they seem to want to treat her as a foreign student for any training.

I think there is some bureaucratic horse shine here as her standard of qualifications are rather high indeed.

Suggestions please

Happy either here, or if you have plenty of advice please PM
