Hi, not sure this is the right form, but I am at a stage in training where I’m starting to do radio calls - but one thing I’ve noticed with my headset (Dave Clark H10-30) is that I can hear my FI just fine, but any transmissions my FI makes to ATC are generally about 70% quieter , and any incoming transmissions from ATC are also 70% quieter…
Every so often it’s ok, about 80% quieter and I can hear OK , but then on occasion it will go as low as 40% and I struggle to hear what’s being said at all.
Is this normal?
I’m not sure if this is one of those things that you get used to, but at the moment I feel like if I was going solo I would probably have to ask for a few repeats.
