A liitle saga from Yesterday:
Traffic service from Yeovil en route Alderney:
Plymouth military NOTAMed closed until late August and SwanwickMIL handling Danger Area transits but no frequency published
Me: Request correct Swanwick MIL frequency for D026 transit
Yeo: Standby
Yeo: I've phoned Swanwick MIL and they say contact London Info:
Change frequency to London info who are surprised to put it mildly but tell me that D026 is live firing, but have no altitude knowledge.
At this point I give up and route round with a service from ever helpful Bournemouth radar.
Did toy with the idea of trying Swanwick MIL West on 127.45 and maybe should have done that in retrospect.
I'd be interested in anyone's experience of getting a service from Swanwick MIL
