Ok so I tried to look through CAA publications, I honestly did, and I went away more confused than when I started so I’m hoping that people on here can steer me in the right direction.

I have an old Poo Brown PPL(A) valid for life but I have not held a rating on it for over 5 years.

My questions are:

Can I renew this PPL by going to a DTO and completing the training they require followed by a prof check?

Can I then fly a Part 21 aircraft in the UK on this PPL? I want to fly a PA28.

Do I require a Class 2 medical to renew this PPL or can I use a Personal Medical Declaration?

Is there a simpler way to get in air in PA28 that the way I am contemplating.? (Conversion to Part FCL? LAPL?….)
