On Sunday this week I was heading back to East Midlands from the East when I thought to myself, here’s an idea, there’s a big chunk of empty airspace where Nottingham Airport used to be, I’ll take a shortcut and set course via the old overhead. Sky demon had a disused symbol and removed the ATZ.
Just as I requested a direct join from East Midlands the controller pointed out the ATZ was still there so routed around.
A Sky demon update arrived today reinstating the ATZ with a heliport at the centre.
Anyone know what’s happening here?
