I have heard a rumour that someone received a snotogram from the marine services who register PLBs because he ended up in a field in not the best condition and set off the PLB - apparently he was told this should ONLY be used at sea, does anyone know any more? If this really is the case it makes a mokery of the requirement to carry a PLB unless you are going over the sea!
