Maybe useful information for those planning foreign trips this year.

It is no longer necessary to have a French bank account to subscribe to an Air TOTAL card which allows use of the self-service pumps found at many airfields across the Channel.

The equivalent AirBP card is also available.

AirBP card is free

AirTOTAL card requires €200 deposit (Edit following @Iceman's post below: I estimated a 200 lire/year uplift - we'll see.)

You will need your IBAN and BIC numbers to apply
IBAN - International Bank Account Number (Specific to you)
BIC – Bank Identifier Code (Specific to your bank) - Only requested by TOTAL

You should be able to find the IBAN for your account by using online Help when logged into your online banking site.

It may also be on your printed statement.

TOTAL will require you to upload an image of a bank document (eg statement) showing your name and corresponding bank account number. Blurring balance details is fine!

I applied for both types of card online (very straightforward) on 3 April. I've just had confirmation that the TOTAL cards will be in the post tomorrow. :thumleft:
