Last year for my 50th I was given a voucher for an extended flying lesson. The nearest participating airfield is Shoreham, so I will be looking to book this up when the weather improves.
As I started looking into it, I became intrigued about the possibility of attempting to complete the PPL - somewhat premature given I’ve not actually been up in the air yet!
As a starter, I’ve purchased Pooley’s Air Pilot’s Manual volume 1 (Flying training) and am 180 pages in and fascinated by it all! Best £20 ever spent.
If I was to seriously consider undertaking the PPL then Headcorn would be my closest airfield.
Any advice (for the trial flight or for the PPL) would be gratefully received!
