There have been a few posts recently that suggest the forum PM function is not as easy to find as it might be, so - courtesy of Europaul383 - here's how.
Also, if you see your PM still in your Outbox - it's not stuck there. It simply means it has not yet been read by the recipient.
Just now I looked in vain for a tab that says 'Send PM'...
