I really need some help, I currently fly from Barton near Manchester, I've got 15 hours under my belt but it's taken me 18 months to get this far what with the weather, finances and now someone has broke the plane that I was learning in, a Piper 28. A pilot friend of mine has suggested that I go for a Microlight licence and then upgrade it later to the LAPL. The microlight licence only needs 5 exams, would this be enough to get my LAPL or am I barking up the wrong tree? Should I just persevere or would you make more enquiries about learning this way? Ian
