I am just pondering to whether I might want to do my FI course and it got me thinking what happens when (if) the pilot licences change? Has anything been mentioned or suggested about the FI's?

Obviously a full PPL holder with a ATPL exams or commercial license doing the course would be able to teach the full PPL or full fat licence (what ever it gets called) going forward. But what about those who only teach to LAPL as they don't hold the commercial licence?

If I did a FI course now and do not hold ATPL exams then I can teach up to LAPL but have they said what changes or options this would have? Would they be stuck teaching the PPL "Light" (microlight or SEP) only?
