I wonder if anyone on here knows the solution to this please?
I have Plusnet FTTC broadband plus landline.
My current contract expires Oct 5.
I am (provisionally) moving house Oct 11.
I would like to continue with Plusnet broadband at new house.
Plusnet won't offer a landline now.
OH wants to keep (something resembling) the landline and keep our existing number.
I don't want to change to BT and their digital voice.
I think I therefore need to get Vonage or similar service with the new Plusnet line. (Alternative suggestions welcome.)
The catch is, to port our existing number, apparently it needs to be kept active for 30 days after my application to Vonage, which I can't do until I have the new line.
Fingers crossed and awaiting the genius of the forum!
I will also gird my loins and phone Plusnet but that's usually fairly painful.
