Where have you been? What have you seen?

Took my father up for the first time since gaining licence and we went to Compton. Gorgeous day for sight-seeing.
Excellent airfield, friendly on the phone, good set up and the pay by card at the pumps system worked well.

The kites hovering nearby were also a beautiful sight and didn't seem phased by the constant coming and going of aircraft.

The restaurant was busy (glad we booked!) and food good. The range of beers was formidable however we both stuck to soft due to flying back later.

There was a nice (albeit small) briefing/planning room for pilots which was perfect for our return leg organisation.

The icing on the cake was the chipmunks which was a nostalgic moment for my dad who'd flown in those during his university air squadron days.

Couldn't have been a better day, will definitely be visiting again and (weightr permitting) returning with some Gritchie beers.
