Arguably, I've only fairly recently regained my SEP class rating (airline pilot as a day job), but I'm looking how the revalidation will look like.

I exclusively fly a microlight now, based on my Part-FCL licence with a SEP rating, and as I've seen I can do 11 out of 12 required hours in a microlight, and then 1 hours with an instructor in a SEP.

Now, as I fly an airliner at work, I technically don't require an hour with an instructor at all (not saying it's a particularly good idea, and I'll definitely fly with a microlight instructor at a minimum), as I can just credit my LPC at work for the purpose of SEP revalidation as well.

Would this mean that I could do all 12 hours in a microlight, or would 1 hour still need to be done in a SEP (with or without an instructor) to revalidate the class rating?
