Hi all, have a question I've been struggling to find suitable answer for whilst waiting for my next IR lesson.
What do students do for flight plans when planning for training flights to airfields for practice approaches or for the skills test itself, specifically with regards to the destination/alternative?
I've seen I can do my route and add a stay at navaid (but not airfield designator) with comment about the approaches. Is this correct method or do students with the training airfield as the destination, and then effectively plan to divert home as their filed alternate?
Seems to me like the first option would cause issues with addressing potentially, though the second option doesn't seem right either. Any advice from those who've gone through the IR course would be appreciated.
