Any techies suggest a fix?

I don't have much hope, however no harm in asking.
I subscribe to OS Maps and run the app on my Samsung S22. It over reads by 10% plus on mileage covered.
Whilst it is easy to assume it is all down to the phone's GPS, peculiarly when I record the same route on the same device at the same time, with another app, it records the accurate distance.
Any ideas?
