I intend to buy a EV97 or similar in a couple of years, permit the way to go. Is there a book, course or guide out there about everything 'How to buy and own and (have) maintain(ed) a permit aircraft in UK'?
I think EV97s can be group A or microlight, I'm clueless as to the difference, permit is permit right? Obviously not..........
So does that determine which organisation to join, LAA or BMAA?
I looked at LAA website and may join just to get the magazine. But their courses shown and books in their store having nothing I can see about 'all you need to know to own a PtF aircraft. I would have thought that is essential for any newcomer to such things.
Maybe it's so simple it doesn't need a guide! Buy, insure, change ownership with CAA, find organisation to do maintenance (I won't do anything not easy), ensure logs are completed and permits up to date (LAA help there)??
