The piece on the Pawnee and glider towing in the Highlands, is another brilliant, evocatively-written article by Gavin Webb - the kind of writing that transports the reader. (His French flying Christmas story - published early this year -was equally good). His pix aren't bad either.
I admit a connection: Gavin used to help service my PA32 at Kemble - but I never realised he had such a talent for aviation writing, latent, it seems, until recently.
More from Gavin please, Mr Whiteman!
