Mum has discovered a Burma Star which she says belonged to Dad, and might have been awarded to his father, who served in the Navy. Problem is, Grandpapa died when Dad was very young, and Dad died a couple of years ago, so we don't know the history of it.
I had a Google to try and find more info about whether it did belong to Grandad and why (Mum doesn't remember any mention of Burma), but reached lots of dead ends, so I thought I'd turn to the hive mind.
Any guidance gratefully received!
