12 visible Chrome tabs are open but Task Manager tells me that 29 instances of Chrome processes are running. It's using around half the RAM which even on an 11th Gen i7 with 16GB is causing problems with other processes running slow or crashing.
I appreciate that some tabs will run hotter with memory than others depending on what they are doing, but why the multiple instances of Chrome?
What's going on? Can I fix it? Do I need to?
Screenshot of Task Manager if it helps: https://1drv.ms/i/c/8ce436dd8117791b/ES ... Q?e=1BbgfI
Apologies for non technical language.
