As above. Has the tech changed significantly?
My 10yr old McMurdo PLB is due a battery change, which will cost circa £140. Would I be better putting the money towards a new more advanced option, or is the tech still much of a muchness at this level?
The unit is not solely used for flying and has to be easily carried.
