My Garmin 530 has developed a problem.
When first switched on and whilst going through it ‘s self test routine - the display brightness is perfectly normal and easily readable, even in bright sunlight.
However as soon as it finishes the self test display the navigation screen, the brilliance reduces to being almost unreadable. I can of course go into the settings page, change it from “auto” to “manual” and wind it up to normal brightness levels. Every time we start up, we have go through this regime, which is becoming a bit tiresome.
Does any have the “technician’s” tech manual and tell how to get it to always start in “manual” brightness - at the settings we last used?
Is this a common problem?
Thanks
